Flambeau River Conditions

The Flambeau River is sitting at its usual summer lows but be careful on the North Fork. You’ll need to avoid rocks and drag your canoe in some places.  Because the North Fork is regulated by dams the water levels stay pretty consistent, but the South Fork is dependent on rainfall.  Paddling there isn’t recommended right now.  Anglers have reported good luck with smallmouth, walleye, musky and channel cats.
